The Blank! Project

In the heart of Athens lays a place that defies the standars of an art studio. A deep influence of the Art Squat Movement - which took place after World War II - led to a hybrid of a gallery a studio and an exhibition area,  based on the phylosophy of artist collective. Self-managed by a collective, the BLANK! PROJECT is an alternative space, a shelter if you like, for a small group of artists to set up their studios and open them in public. The concept behind this act is sharing the experience of daily creation and establishing an access to art more direct and democratic, in an intimate setting, where everyone is welcomed to take part.
